That's right, coming from Sparkle City (Spartanburg), the Queen City (Charlotte), and Asheville (sorry no cute name here), we are headed to the Big Apple to go visit Ryn-tin-tin! Woohoo! For your viewing pleasure, here are some pictures of Rhea, Ryn, Nichole, and me from 3 years ago having fun in G-Vegas (Greenville, SC).
And yes, we happened to all have on a black top that day because we were headed to a "black out" Wofford football game. If I didn't tell you that, you might have thought we were really cheesy and matched for a friends photo session, but nope, we're cooler than that!

Sterling Gray
I painted (or Dad Daniels and I painted) my office this past weekend Sterling Gray. I could have painted without his help, but it wouldn't have turned out as nice! And it took probably half the time it would have taken by myself. I have been wanting a gray room for a while, which I know sounds boring. So here's my color palette: Gray, Yellow, and Brown (a little yellow in every room doesn't hurt : ). The brown comes from our hardwood floor and the wood desk in my office. I don't have much to show you right now, because the room is still pretty empty, but I did hang up curtains the other night!
Here's a close up of the curtains, again from Ikea!

Hot Mammas at a Baby Shower
Sam and I went to a baby shower for Rachel and Matt in Durham this past weekend (one of Sam's favorite things to do....not!). It was a great shower! Sam's Dad and I discussed the high ratio of pregnant women at this shower. There were 5 pregnant women, including Rachel! Here's Kim and Rachel looking good! They are only a few weeks apart in their pregnancy. So fun! Ruth, if you're reading this, we are going to have to get pregnant at the same time : ) We managed to be engaged around the same time, so babies shouldn't be a problem ; )
Rachel's mother in law and sister in law, Lesli and Kate Garrison put together a killer shower, and no detail was left out. The food was amazing, I of course enjoyed the chocolate cupcakes!
This little guy, Isaac, enjoyed the Toddler Treats they put together. See the two frogs in his hands, he was pretty cute with the frogs and funny! As you can see, he didn't want to put them down. Rachel actually photographed this family last year (click here to see her pictures), beautiful pictures.
Rachel and Matt are being surprised by the sex of the baby, so for now the baby's name is "Baby G." I rather like it, and will probably have a bad habit of breaking it. I still call my co-workers 18 month old Baby Ben.
Here are a few of the party attendees, my parents!
Sam and me (my dress with airplanes was popular amongst the little kidos - they liked the airplanes).
Isaac, the little boy I pictured earlier with the frogs is inheriting great style from his parents. They are passing their trendiness along to the Garrisons in the form of onesies. Aren't these cute and hilarious!
I'll leave you with one more picture of a book that I'm sure will be used and loved in the Garrison household. I had never seen this before, but as you can see, the book comes with puppet hands to put on and tickle with! Laughter is the best medicine!

Finally....Dr. Hinton
Yay! Woop Woop! Yeah! Woo! All written expressions of cheers just for DR. SARAH HINTON!!! Wow, talk about a cool graduation ceremony, one minute they are students, the next they are Doctors!
Enough with the talk, and here are a few pictures. I'll add more later, but now it's time to go play Wii and win back some high scores on my mom and dad in-law's score board : )
P.S. Thank you followers for my comments! I reached a new personal best!

On a roll!
First, I have to announce to my 6 followers that you have helped me reach my personal best on comments! I had 3 comments on my last post, woohoo!
I can't believe I'm up to my 3rd post for May already! I hope to have many more posts this month and don't worry I'll stop talking about me and start sharing some portraits that I have coming up. First event is this Friday - Sarah graduates from Medical School! Woohoo (that makes 2 Woohoo's for this post - exciting!). I insisted to Sarah that she let me be her personal photog on Friday : ) So I'll be following her and her family around like the paparazzi : ) : )
Now we come to the point of this post, we finished our living room! We hung our last set of curtains behind the couch (thanks to Ikea for affordable window coverings). If you can't tell by now, yellow is my favorite color, and luckily Sam doesn't mind that color either. What you can't see is the black-out roll down shade on the window behind the coach. This eliminates the glare on our TV, but easily rolls up when we want the sun to shine in! Thank you Ikea for that as well!

Thankful
This post is a little random in that, I have pictures that I want to post on my blog, but they are completely different. The one thing that ties them together is that I'm thankful for my husband and I'm thankful that I love my job!
Here's a picture of Sam and me in celebration of 1 year of marriage on Sunday May 2nd! Thank you to Tamara Lackey Photography for the picture (www.tamaralackeyblog.com). I love this picture, it's the "yay! we just got married" look.
A few weeks ago, we ended our CHEERSPORT competition season in Fort Lauderdale. So here's the crew from CHEERSPORT after a dinner at P.F. Changs. And I don't know why and how Emily, Jennifer, and I got stuck in the front like that - a little awkward looking having to bend down...haha!

Former Wofford Greats...
Okay, so I have been meaning to put these 2 pictures up on my blog for a few weeks- they crack me up! Enjoy!
First up, some former Wofford Greats. From left to right Bryon Fields ('06), Kenny Hastie ('03??), Sam Daniels ('05), and Grant Sterling ('03??). This was before the game while we were tailgating.
Next, we needed one group picture before we entered the game. This picture makes me laugh as well because Nichole and Rhea look so small next to Kenny! The guys look like giants!
Go Wofford!
