More fun and laughter with Nathan and Shayla

I promised more pictures of these kiddos, so here they are!  First up, Nathan and his very captivating eyes!

And these are some of my favorite images of the day.  I have a whole series of them laughing!  I couldn't have asked for better expressions or more happy children!  I was pretty lucky, because I was taking one last shot of them together, and Shayla just started tickling her brother, and an all out laughter-tickle war ensued, which made me so happy!

Who doesn't love fall?!

There's a beautiful maple tree in my neighbor's front yard.  It's so large that it overhangs in our yard as well, which doesn't bother me.  Right now, I look out my office window and see this!

Most people know yellow is my favorite color, so here's a close up of those gorgeous leaves!

Happy Fall Everyone!

Nathan and Shayla

About a week ago, I met my co-worker, Julie, at the park with her 2 beautiful children.  Nathan is a 3rd grader and Julie adopted him from Guatemala.  Shayla was adopted from China and is in the 1st grade at a Chinese Immersion School.  Shayla is a hoot!  She knows how to strike a pose when the camera is around.  It took a while for her to just play and forget about the camera.  She is definitely not camera shy!  Nathan isn't camera shy either - it's probably because Julie likes to take pictures as well, so they were both used to smiling for the camera.

Nathan was cute here showing me his football stance.  What you can't see is that he had found a 4 leaf clover and he had it in his mouth like a toothpick, and was calling it his good luck.

I think this is such a cute picture of Shayla.  I had her doing jumps and twirls trying to get a spontaneous smile instead of her posed smile (which is still cute).

I have lots more to post later, in fact some of my favorite pictures were from the last 5 minutes of the session, can't wait to show you those!

Tailgating Luke

Sam and I went to Wofford's home opening game at the beginning of September.  One of the best things about tailgating this year is that we now have a baby to hang out with us!  Katie and Gaby, bring their days away from being 6 month old son, Luke to the games!  This is the first of our Wofford friends to have a child, and I know in a couple of years there will be lots of children at our tailgate.  But for now, I'm just looking forward to the Homecoming tailgate in a couple of weeks!

Isn't he cute?

That pacifier holder = great invention!

More of Thompson

As promised, here are a couple more pictures of Thompson.  He really is a cute, handsome little boy!  We were shooting in downtown Matthews, NC where they have a train caboose.  This first picture shows his excitement and happiness of playing beside the choo choo, as he called it.

Thompson was extremely careful when walking over the grates at the back of the caboose.  Those are pretty big gaps for his little feet.  He knew when to take it slow!  Thank goodness he didn't try running over this platform!

I really like this picture.  It was my last shot of the morning.  Ashley looks so happy with Thompson, and Thompson is relaxing in his mom's arms with a snack after a hard morning of playing - or should I say running ;)

Nichole and Joe in Asheville

My friend Nichole and her boyfriend Joe visited Sam and me this past weekend.  Nichole made a comment about how she didn't have any pictures of her and Joe together, because Joe doesn't like taking posed pictures.  Nichole said, "what am I supposed to do, hire a photographer to follow us around all day?"  Lucky for them, I was with them all day, and I'm a photographer.  This was the first picture I took.  I was taking a picture of Joe driving, but at the last minute, Nichole stuck her head in the picture, but didn't quite make it, but her hair looks great!

And these are the types of pictures Joe doesn't like.  However, it has been a long time since Sam and I had our picture taken, and I like it!

Thanks for visiting my blog!  Come back soon, I'm adding more pictures of the energizer bunny, Thompson : )
