Part 1: Jacquelyn & Scotty's Wedding

Hello blog readers!  I have another wedding to share with y'all!  Jacquelyn and Scotty are high school sweethearts (met at Charlotte Catholic).  Scotty is now a teacher and Jacquelyn is a Graphic Designer.  They are a really cool couple.  You could just tell by the way they looked at one another that they adored each other.

We had the most bizarre weather for this wedding...70's in Charlotte in mid-July!  Crazy!  I even brought a sweater with me because I was worried about being cold.  It was a very refreshing day to be working, it did shower later in the evening but that was way into the reception.  I would say if I wasn't working, carrying 2 cameras all day, running from place to place, I would have been cold.  The day started off at home with the girls getting ready.  The ceremony was held at St. Gabriel's Catholic Church with the reception at The Big Chill.

Now onto a few wedding details from the day....the DRESS!

The veils, yes she wore a blusher!

Lovely deep purple in the bridesmaids dresses and shoes.  How they managed to party all night in these heels is beyond me, I was impressed!  I'm a "flats" girl.

Time for hair!  Jacquelyn and her bridesmaids did a slumber party at her house the night before the wedding (how fun!).  They did their hair at the house that afternoon and makeup at the church.

Getting ready, I love veils, I really do.  They are so pretty!

Getting married!  One of my favorite moments of any wedding day....walking down the aisle, watching the bride, the father of the bride, and the groom.

The groom's best man was his brother, and I love that he's watching for his reaction as Jacquelyn walks down the aisle.

Lots and lots of light at St. Gabriel's Catholic Church.  The HUGE stained glass window behind the altar made for a great back-drop.

The priest was a family friend of Scotty, which always makes for a nice ceremony (when there's someone there to tell stories on the groom or just make it more personal).

Hello Charlotte!

Such cute expressions they are making.

I'll do a second post with reception pictures - where fun was had by all!

Rachel & Lincoln's Wedding

July has been a great month so far, and I can't believe that it's almost over.  Summer is flying by!  I'm sure time has flown by for Rachel and Lincoln since they got married on July 9th.  Time flies when you're having fun (aka - a happy newlywed!).  This couple shared a deep connection, and it was evident how much they cared for one another.  Thankfully the usual summer thunderstorms held off - the last thing you need with 90+ degree weather is the extra humidity of a summer thunderstorm.  It was a beautiful day, and Rachel and Lincoln had a lot of family and friends to help celebrate with them!

Cowboy boots for the bridesmaids (and the bride too, she ended up wearing cowboy boots as well).

Details of the dress -  One of the most exciting moments when shooting a wedding for me is the unveiling of the dress.  I loved Rachel's dress, and it definitely fit her personality.  And the veil is what it pulls it all together.

I did a few bridal shots of Rachel before the ceremony, and one of my favorites is this carefree smile and movement.

Rachel had great expressions throughout the entire day, and I love how happy she looks in this picture!

It's official, Mr. and Mrs. Lawing!

Minutes after being announced as MARRIED :)

The reception was held at Cramer Mountain Country Club.  Very beautiful!

The mother and grandmother of the groom admiring the cake.

Stunning flowers and beautiful bright green colors at the reception.

First dance

The band at the reception was awesome!  I wanted to get out there and dance, but I had a job to do : )  It was the Chris Lane Band.

And a sweet bubble exit to end a wonderful night!

Asheville City Market

I went to the Asheville City Market with my friends/house guests, Nicole and Joe yesterday morning.  Everything looked beautiful and yummy!

This is our favorite pasta ever!  It's homemade, and the difference between homemade pasta and boxed pasta is unbelievable!  Seriously, this stuff is AMAZING!  I can't wait to get my parents to try it.  Sam's parents and sister are now fans as well.  Our goal is to keep our freezer stocked with this stuff ALL YEAR LONG!

Yesterday we tried their Tomato Basil Sauce and bought some of their pizza dough.  Joe made us the best pizzas ever with some parmesan cheese and basil, tomatoes, and rosemary from our garden at home.  YUMMY!

There are some beautiful flowers at this market (there's usually beautiful flowers at any sort of farmer's market).

I LOVE this hanging/fall over flower, I should have asked what it was.  It makes me want to plant a window box with flowers on our front porch...maybe next summer.

Other sights of the market....

And a collage of my favorite color yellow (plus a little orange and red)
